Terms of Service

Effective October 12, 2026 · Last updated October 27, 2026

These terms govern access to Splice at splice.ink, operated by SailSync LLC (“we,” “us”). By using a Splice workspace, you agree to these terms. If you use Splice for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to act for it. If you do not agree, do not use the workspace.

Contact SailSync LLC at jeff@sailsync.ai for support, privacy questions, or data requests. Please do not send passwords, access tokens, or sensitive identity documents in your initial message.

1. The service

Splice helps users plan Instagram feeds, compare reference snapshots, synchronize eligible connected-account content, and prepare schedules and publishing workflows. Features depend on account eligibility, permissions, content support, and availability. Access is currently invitation-based. Automatic Instagram publishing is off by default for each account. An authorized owner or editor must enable it, grant the required publishing permission, and separately approve each post for automatic publication. A planned date alone does not approve publication. Turning account publishing off cancels pending automatic publications; it cannot recall a request already sent to Instagram.

Splice also supports authorized TikTok connections, workspace videos, editable drafts, creator review and inbox delivery. Private Direct Post testing is available when enabled. Public TikTok Direct Post and automatic TikTok scheduling are not currently enabled. TikTok inbox delivery requires you to finish editing and publishing in TikTok; the inbox API does not carry the saved caption or cover. A delivery or processing status is not a promise of public visibility.

2. Accounts and authorization

You must be at least 18 and have authority to manage the accounts and content you connect. Keep your Splice credentials secure, provide accurate information, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use. Do not share another person’s credentials or circumvent workspace permissions. Instagram and Facebook authorization takes place with Meta, and TikTok authorization takes place with TikTok; do not provide those platform passwords to Splice.

Connecting an account authorizes the API access you grant for the features you choose, including background imports of the connected account’s profile picture and recent media covers. You may revoke access. Additional permissions and explicit approval are required for supported publishing actions. Connecting or syncing alone is not permission to publish.

3. Your content and limited service license

You retain your rights to your content. You grant us only the permission needed to host, copy, process, render, display to authorized workspace members, export, and, when explicitly authorized, transmit your content for publication as part of the service. This does not give us ownership of your work or permission to use it in unrelated advertising.

You are responsible for obtaining rights and permissions for photos, video, music, captions, trademarks, screenshots, and other material you use. Public availability is not a license to republish someone else’s content. Reference comparison does not transfer rights to that material. Rights to Meta-provided data remain subject to applicable Meta terms and the rights of its owners.

For TikTok delivery, review the destination account, video, caption and available settings before confirming. Make the music and, where applicable, branded-content declarations shown in the posting workflow only when they are accurate. You remain responsible for the content and disclosure choices you approve. Splice does not add its own promotional watermark to your TikTok upload.

4. Responsible use

Do not use Splice for unlawful or infringing content, impersonation, spam, harassment, unauthorized surveillance, credential theft, unauthorized scraping, or attempts to bypass API restrictions, security controls, or rate limits. Do not sell or misuse personal information obtained through the service. You must follow applicable law and the Instagram/Facebook or TikTok rules that apply to your connected accounts and content.

5. Scheduling, automation, and third-party limits

Review the destination account, media, caption, timing, and permissions before approving a publication. API restrictions, token expiry, outages, content requirements, account changes, and worker failures can delay or prevent a scheduled action. Timing, delivery, engagement, follower growth, and platform approval are not guaranteed. Verify publication results before retrying an uncertain action to avoid duplicates.

Feed imports may include only recent covers, not all historical posts, carousel interiors, playable video, or collaboration posts. Personal or restricted accounts may not be available through an API. Features unsupported by the API may require a manual handoff. Splice cannot remove a post already published on Instagram merely by deleting a local draft or disconnecting an account.

Splice is independent of Meta and TikTok and is not endorsed or sponsored by either company or their services. Those services have separate terms and privacy practices. Deleting a Splice draft or disconnecting a TikTok account cannot delete content already sent to TikTok. We may change or discontinue an integration when required by platform policies or technical changes.

6. Privacy and deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains data collection, use, sharing, retention, and your choices. You can request data deletion without signing in using our deletion instructions. Disconnecting stops future access through that connection but does not by itself erase previously stored content.

7. Service changes, suspension, and ending use

You may stop using Splice at any time, revoke integrations, and request account deletion. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, misuse, legal requirements, platform compliance, or discontinuation of the service. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Keep your own copies of important content; previews and publishing packages are not a substitute for your archive.

8. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or suitability for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for third-party platform decisions or content you choose to publish. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer or privacy rights.

9. Changes and questions

We may revise these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be communicated where required, and the updated date will be shown here. Contact us to discuss a concern or dispute before taking further steps; these terms do not require arbitration or waive rights you have under applicable law.
